Introduction

INTRODUCTION

The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has been one of the key departments of the college ever since its inception. The department has expanded steadily over the last few years in and around Trichy zone of Anna University. It has a team of qualified faculty with rich experience in teaching, industry and R&D activities in related areas. The department has good infrastructure and laboratories are well-equipped with all latest equipments. With a good support and guidance of the management we are importing quality education to our students in disciplined atmosphere which is the motto of our department. Currently the Department has Fifteen faculty members with the total 240 undergraduate students with 190 Boys and 50 Girls. It has a very active students' association, Energetic and Enthusiastic Engineers Association (E³A), which organizes invited lectures from eminent persons conducts workshops seminar and national level technical symposium FIRE FEST (Future invention in recent Electrical) consisting of  paper presentation, in the emerging fields in electrical engineering , circuit engineering.

       Additionally, the Electrical Department has its own library, conference rooms, and a PC laboratory. The department encourages student’s involvement in several co-curricular activities like group discussion, quizzes, publications of article in magazines, symposium which will enhance their communication skills and presentation skills. Frequent industrial visits for undergraduates students during the semester is organized to enhance the practical skills. Students also actively participate in different sports and games and competitions in collegiate and inter collegiate levels.
