Red Ribbon Club
Red Ribbon Clubs have become a powerful
medium to reach out to young people. Spearheaded by the Tamil Nadu State
AIDS Control Society (TANSACS), with technical assistance from the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), USA, this programme is
supported by the Department of Higher Education and Department of
Technical Education. Through this programme the CDC demonstrates the
importance of inter-sector collaboration to address the issue of HIV
/AIDS.Young minds are impressionable and reaching out to the youth can
effect behaviour change
To make AIDS free
society, RRC was inaugurated by our college in 2006. Our Red Ribbon Club
takes all efforts
to enhance voluntary blood donation as well as mainstream HIV & AIDS
prevention, care & support and treatment impact, mitigation among the
students. It will also prepare and promote youth peer educators within
and outside the campuses.

the head of RRC District Coordinator
2. The club organizes camps on AIDS awareness
at regular intervals in village areas through performing skit, showing
video clips.
